COVID-19: CONFIRMED CASES IN GHANA INCREASES





The death toll from the novel coronavirus rose in several African countries as the continent continued to grapple with the pandemic.
Since the last update, Ghana has confirmed additional 403 COVID-19 cases to the last update.
As at 30th April 2020, Ghana has recorded a total number of 2,074 cases of coronavirus with seventeen (17) deaths and 212 recoveries.

According to the Ghana Health Service, the total number of COVID-19 comes from the general surveillance with a number of 709, travelers undergoing mandatory quarantine (Accra and Tamale) with a number of 115 and enhanced contact tracing with a number of 1250 number of cases. The number of people responding well to treatment at facilities and homes are 1,839 and six (6) people in critical situation.

Currently, the number of regions reporting cases are as follows: Greater Accra, Ashanti, Eastern, Oti, Central, Western, Northern, Volta, Upper East, Upper West, North East and Western North region.

As the cases keeps increasing, we all should stay at home, observe the social distancing rule and avoid handshaking. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth, always wear a mask particularly if you have to leave home.
