BASIC HOME DENTAL CARE: HOW TO FIGHT BAD BREATH?

It is ordinary to wake up from bed after sleep and experience bad breath. Once in a while, almost everyone experiences bad breath which we see as humiliating. Nevertheless, it turns irregular when you have brushed, water or dental flossed, mouth-washed, or have not eaten anything garlicky or spicy and you still find the breath foul-smelling. Where you once told you had a malodorous mouth? You were told at an important meeting and now you are self-conscious to talk because the scent will be disastrous. Therefore, you are afraid to get closer to significant ones thinking you will gross them out. And that made you lose confidence in your abilities because of the bad breath you were once told about. On the other hand, some people experience bad breath day-to-day which is an enormous   problem and they are struggling to find solutions for themselves. THE HARM COVID-19 IS CAUSING THAT YOU HAVE LESS KNOWLEDGE ABOUT.

The virus that struck everyone by surprise at the beginning of the year has taken precious lives away and it is still in existence in many countries around the globe. In other words, the deadly disease which is scaring people off and taking the lives of people has spread its wings wide across countries around the globe.

To ask, what is novel coronavirus?  Coronaviruses (CoV) are a large family of viruses that cause illness ranging from common cold to more severe diseases such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-CoV) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-CoV). A novel coronavirus (nCoV) is a new strain that has not been previously identified in humans. The virus is zoonotic, meaning they are transmitted between animals and people.

Common signs of infection include respiratory symptoms, fever, cough, and breathing difficulties. In more severe cases, infection can cause pneumonia, severe acute respiratory syndrome, kidney failure and even death.

According to africanews, the statistics of Africa today, April 24 at 7: 00 GMT states 52 countries contacting the virus with a number of confirmed cases rising to 27,385 with 1,297 deaths and thankfully 8,172 recoveries. Lesotho and Comoros are so far virus-free countries.

To ask, are things going to remain the same?
Where will we be in the next five months, a year, 10 years from now? I keep wondering and I ask myself these questions. I lie awake in bed at night thinking about what the future holds for my loved ones, my vulnerable friends and relatives. I wonder what will happen to my education, even though my school is now practicing E-learning which I will say is not effective because majority of students are not participating due to personal reasons. It is also not effective due to the trauma the virus has caused making the mind of students not conditioned for studies. We can all testify to the fact that Ghana’s system of learning is always in the classroom, lecturers or teachers tutoring us face-to-face and so on and that’s making the new way of learning problematic.
